A Camp Experience Your Child Will Treasure

We pride ourselves as parents and guardians in supporting our children during the important developmental years of their childhood. You understand that summer camp provides a unique opportunity to encourage irreplaceable experiences and memories within the life of your child.

As a parent, one of the hardest things to do is make decisions for your children. This is especially true when it comes to choosing the right summer camp for your child.

At Oasis Day Camp, we understand that you want to give your child the best summer experience possible. You want them to have fun in a safe environment. You want them to learn and grow.

Oasis Day Camp can provide all of these things for your child, but it all depends on how you prepare yourself and your children for the camp experience.

Here are a few tips from our counselors on how to get ready for camp and how to encourage your children to learn while they’re there:

Talk it up!

Children can detect anxiety and fear, so by talking positively about the camp experience (even if you’re nervous), you can help calm their fears and build excitement, too.

Get organized early.

Pick out clothes, buy sunscreen and bug spray, stock up on snacks and label everything with your child’s name so nothing gets lost. The less stress you have in the days leading up to the camp experience, the less stress your children will feel as well.

Talk to other camp parents.

Our counselors are also always available to answer any questions you may have about the activities that take place during our sessions or what your child should bring each day.

Build trust with your child.

The best way to show your child that they will grow and learn while they’re away is by displaying trust. When you can be flexible and understanding with the day camp staff, it promotes a positive attitude and encourages learning.

At Oasis Day Camp, we understand that it can be tough to send your child away for the summer. We know you want them to have a fun and memorable experience. That’s why we’ve created an environment that focuses on encouragement and personal development.

We believe in supporting children as they grow by creating a safe space where they can make friends, learn new skills, and even explore their own identity through the world of play. We have an amazing team of counselors who are always happy to lend an ear or offer words of encouragement if it’s needed.

One of the best ways you can help your child get ready for camp is to encourage them to learn more about what will happen during the day. We suggest parents read through our website with their kids and point out the activities that seem most fun. Sharing photos from past years is also a great way to build excitement for the whole family!

If there are any questions or concerns that come up, don’t hesitate to reach out to us at Oasis. We’re always happy to connect with parents!
